Joint Estonian-Latvian Theory Days 2017
Tartu, November 24-26, 2017
Estonian Computer Science Theory Days started in 2002 and have been organized biannually since then. In Latvia, a similar event, Computer Science Days, has been organized several times since 2011. The first joint Estonian-Latvian Theory Days were held in 2010. This year, we are organizing the fifth such event. The main goal of the Theory Days is to let the theoretical computer scientists of our two countries to get acquainted with the work of each other. In particular, the main audience is intended to be the graduate students in the roles of both listeners and presenters.
The event will take place in Tartu (Ülikooli 18-140 --- the main bulding of the University of Tartu), from November 24 to 26, 2017 (from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon). If you come from outside Tartu, we recommend arriving on Thursday evening. The program includes 25 minute talks (please use this link to submit proposals) and two 1h long invited talks:
- Understanding computation via computation --- Jukka Suomela --- Aalto University, Finland
- Factorization of widely used RSA moduli --- Marek Sýs --- Masaryk University, Czech Republic
